Stockade Polo & Saddle Club

Dressage at Stockade June 27 & 28, August 8th & 9th, 2009

Welcome to Stockade Polo & Saddle Club!

Dressage at Stockade June (USEF/USDF #327006)—June 27-28, 2009

Our 2009 season is underway! Dressage at Stockade June, our new USEF/USEF competition, is fast approaching and ride times are now available here.  After endless rainy days, we are looking forward to a pleasant weekend. The rings are in great shape, the stabling is set up and the menu for the exhibitors’ party on Saturday night looks great. We look forward to seeing a lot of new faces (and Stockade’s first ever musical freestyle) next weekend.

Prize Lists for Schooling Show—July 19 and Dressage at Stockade—August 8-9, 2009

Entries are open (and arriving) for the next TWO shows at Stockade: the schooling dressage/CT outing on July 19, and Dressage at Stockade (USEF/USDF #325664) on August 8-9. Both prize lists are posted here.

May 17 Schooling Dressage/CT Show Wrap-up

The schooling dressage/CT show on May 17 was a big success, with some really nice rides and a good prep for folks who were heading to Dressage at Saratoga over the Memorial Day weekend. Kudos to Anja O’Toole on Finn and Jeff Lindberg on Ironhorse Touch of Pride for breaking the 70% mark at our season opener! Tamara Caruso on Rocket Man (68.000%, BN B) and Katie Trickey on Obligato (67.600, T4) were impressive Adult Amateur competitors, while Lydia Pheil on Ginger Snap (66.316%, Nov B) and Cassondra Roth (65.263%, BN A) topped the JR/YR set.  Stockade “regulars” Talia Zisman, Lydia Pheil and Grace Maney all came out with neat new horses this season. We wish them the best of luck to them in their new partnerships!  Complete show results are now posted.

Stockade Polo & Saddle Club Inc. is a 57 acre Horse show Facility conveniently located in the Mohawk Valley of New York State in the Town of Glenville. Developement began in 1997 with a full size polo field (200 yards x 300 yards) and continued with our first season of horse shows in 2004. In 2007 we added our fourth all-weather sand ring. Our focus for the last five years has been providing a comfortable and friendly facility for Dressage, Hunter and Jumper Schooling Shows. Our 2008 season included hosting the Capital District Hunter/Jumper Council's Classic Horse Show (for the fifth year), four schooling dressage shows/combined tests, a schooling jumper show series and Dressage at Stockade, our second USEF/USDF licensed dressage show.

Thank you to all our competitors, sponsors and our tireless volunteers.
